About Mr. Vins
He got his Bachelor of Science degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1972. He majored in chemistry and physics. Later, he went to graduate school at Arizona State University for two years, where he studied environmental engineering. He studied computer science at the Mesa Community College Business and Industry Institute. His Post-Baccalaureate teaching certification is from Rio Salado College.
Mr. Vins worked in electroplating, circuit board manufacturing, and water treatment for over 30 years. He then decided to put his education and experience to use helping to educate the young people of Arizona. He has achieved certification in secondary mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physics.
Mr. Vins writes computer programs in Visual Basic. He has had two process control programs (PlateMan and LabMan) on the market for over ten years. One of his educational programs, NLitning (enlightening), focuses on math and science. The other, Lesson Plan, computerizes the process of lesson plan design for teachers.
